Your Doctor is Not the Only Healer….For Mom Day 2

Casting Crowns “Praise You In This Storm”

There are many things that my Mother taught me in my life. But I think that the biggest lesson she taught me was towards the end of her life and that was to have faith and grace. I know she knew after her cancer came back viciously that this bad situation was going to get a hell of a lot worse but she faced it with grace because she knew that it was all part of a bigger plan. Of course she was scared. She was scared of the pain and scared that she would become a burden to those around her but she wasn’t scared to die. Which she did.

I don’t believe that being healed means you walk away with a clean bill of health. I think true  healing is the process that your soul goes through as your body begins die. This transcends all religions and beliefs. Grace comes from that healing.

In memory of my Mom, Ann Brooks.

  1. “I think true healing is the process that your soul goes through as your body begins to die. This transcends all religions and beliefs. Grace comes from that healing.” I loved this. What a beautiful way to pay tribute to your mom.
